Yeah, I really love that point covenant — because sin truly isn’t just about breaking laws, it’s about breaking intimacy with God.

We actually see that clearly in Genesis. Before the fall, God would come in the cool of the day to walk with Adam and Eve (Gen 3:8). That shows us God created man for fellowship. But once sin entered, that intimacy was broken — flaming swords and cherubim were placed at the entrance of Eden (Gen 3:24). Eden was more than a garden, it was God’s meeting place with man, and that close relationship was cut off until the time of the Law, the prophets, and finally restored in Jesus.

For me personally, understanding sin this way helped me a lot — especially with the Eve narrative. Growing up, I heard so many twisted versions that made it sound like women were solely to blame for the fall. But the Bible makes it clear that both Adam and Eve chose to disobey. That balance freed me from those wrong ideas and showed me sin was about human choice and broken fellowship with God, not gender blame.
