How else can one fully appreciate the gravity of Jesus’ mission to become our Savior and High Priest unless he or she understands that Jesus completed it as a human being?

Ofcourse He identify with man’s suffering because He lived as a man. He knows what it’s like to feel pain, to hunger and taste, drained, physically weak, alienated, misunderstood, betrayed, deserted, under-appreciated, stressed, mocked, tortured. He understand the entirety of the human condition. Therefore the high priest was “taken from among men” (Hebrews 5:1).
The author of Hebrew puts it this way “That’s why he had to enter into every detail of human life. Then, when he came before God as high priest to get rid of the people’s sins, heb 2:7(MSB). Note: not “some things,” but “all things.”
By the virtue of his death and ascension he became our advocate, our high priest interceding and mediating for us.
Do not forget We have a great high priest who has gone to live with God in heaven
Hebrews 4:14
As our high priest: He silences the accusations of Satan
He made available power of grace to all those who choose to follow Him and live overcoming lives. Christ, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit reaches out to all people who have committed the keeping of their souls to Him. He has won the right to intercede in the lives of His followers. He breaks through the power with which Satan has held them captive, developing within His faithful followers a strengthened will to resist sinful tendencies
