Adam and Eve’s decision in the Garden of Eden severed the relationship between God and man because of this, mankind was unable to go directly into God’s presence
This is where the priests’ role came into play.
*Jesus brought mankind closer to God by his death, burial, resurrection and ascension *Jesus Christ was the once-and-for-all sacrifice who paved the way for forgiveness of sin and an open relationship with God the Father. we can now–without hesitation–walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body. Heb 10:19(MSB)
His role as a high priest gave us assurance and boldness Heb.10.22
