Hi Emaidoaniefiok,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the origin of the human soul. I appreciate how you presented the three major views: creationism, traducianism, and pre-existence. I particularly agree with the creationist view because of the clear emphasis Scripture places on God as the source and Creator of human life.
One Scripture that strongly supports this understanding is Zechariah 12:1 (NKJV):
“The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.”
This verse really stands out because the same God who stretched forth the heavens and laid the foundation of the earth is also described as the One who forms the spirit of man within him. This shows that the spiritual dimension of human existence is not independent of God but ultimately comes from Him. It reinforces the truth that every human being is uniquely formed by God and has value because God is the source of human life.
Genesis 2:7 also supports this truth, as God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life, and man became a living being. Together, these passages point to God’s direct involvement in human existence.
